Checking visas

If your right to live in the UK depends on your relationship with someone who died, you might need to apply for a new visa in order to continue living here. If granted, this will give you settlement status (indefinite leave to remain in the UK) meaning that you have the right to live, work, study and apply for benefits in the UK for as long as you wish. There are different criteria for eligibility and there is also an application fee for individuals of £2,885.
